Requirements for Ayla Birth Doulas
If you are interested in becoming an Ayla Birth Doula, the requirements are as follows:
1. At least 18 years of age;
2. Complete the Ayla Birth Application and Matching Questionnaire
3. Have completed a birth or postpartum training program (certification is not required), or show competence through experience;
4. Submit to a background check;
5. Be able to find reliable transportation and childcare in the event of an after-hours birth;
6. Interview with Ayla Birth; and
7. Complete volunteer training with agency assigned (DHS, Coffee Creek, etc...).
